If you have come to this page because you are interested in coming into the Catholic Church -- welcome! We understand that this can be a huge decision in your life. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions about the Church or if let us know if you want to meet with a priest. We want your decision to be a grace-filled and an informed decision. RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation) is the formation program designed to prepare you intellectually and spiritually to make the decision to become Catholic. We are equal parts mind and heart and both must be filled and exercised. May God bless you in your decision and your journey.
The RCIA program begins in early September and culminates in the Easter timeframe when you officially come into the Catholic Church. You meet every Tuesday evening for formation and fellowship. There's also a retreat held on the weekend after Thanksgiving. It's an amazing journey through Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church and one you'll never forget.
Those younger than 16 take the RCIC classes which are designed for children. They meet during the same timeframe.

The first question is, "Are you baptized?" If not, then you'll receive the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation on the Easter Vigil which is a magnificant Mass the night before Easter Sunday. It's the Catholic Church in all it's "bells and smells" glory. The second question is, "If you have already been baptized, then where?" If you have been baptized in a Protestant church, then you'll receive First Communion and Confirmation. You'll also make a profession to the Church. Please note that some churches believe something fundamentally different then Christian churches and thus, their baptism is not considered a Christian baptism. We'll discuss this with you if need be. If were baptized Catholic but have been away from the Church, you'll receive whatever sacraments you need. If all you need is Confirmation, there may be other options for you. Please contact David on extention 104 to discuss these options.
