Natural Family Planning – It’s a fundamentaltenet of our faith not to artificially interfere with the natural process ofthe creation of new life. God is the author of new life while we, as married couples, participate. However, there are proper reasons to want to not have children at a given time. Annual Summer Festival – Every August we shut down 9th avenue, put up a big tent, bring in rides and have a big festival. We start Friday night with an auction dinner and proceed through Friday with rides, games food and dancing. Sunday morning features an outdoor Mass and a big picnic. BeFrienders for the Dying and Grieving – As a person is dying, they may need spiritual support from their Church. BeFreinders provides that support through ministers who can walk with a person and there family through dying and grieving. Contact Doreen on extension 106 for more information.
Hospice & Sacraments – When in hospice, a dying person and their family will need sacraments, prayers and spiritual consolation. Contact Deacon John on extension 107 for more information.

GriefShare Program – GriefShare is a 13 week program of videos and group interaction to help a person who is grieving. Our grief can disable us and cause us to retreat from life. Grief is the way our bodies and souls process deep loss. Grief must run its natural course. Grief Seminars –Do you know how to help others when they are grieving? Do you stumble over your tongue in knowing what to say and instead rely on old clichés? Do you avoid people who are grieving? St. Monica’s for Inner Healing – Some people have experienced a serious trauma in their life such as sexual or emotional abuse or have been denied the type of nurturing love we all need. Some have grown up in an alcoholic home. In these situations, we can come to carry baggage in our hearts which causes pain and makes it difficult to fully experience the richness of life. With God’s infinite power, healing is possible. St. Monica’s is a one-on-one healing program to help people work with God to remove the baggage from their hearts. Abortion Healing – In our society, abortion is seen as a solution to an unwanted pregnancy. In some cases, women feel compelled to have an abortion through pressure of other family members. In other cases, they decide upon this option themselves. At some point, many women come to tremendous guilt and grieve over this action. Many feel lost, helpless and branded by the Church and by God. Not so! God and his children in heaven forgive everything. But, you can’t come to bring this understanding into your heart alone. Let us help. First Communion – Preparation for First Communion is primarily done during the second grade. However, kids between the third and seventh grades who are attending Religious Education can also receive First Communion through a special process. Contact David on extension 104 for more information.
Confirmation - Preparation for Confirmation is primarily done during the eighth grade. Those past the eighth grade can attend RCIA or Adult Confirmation process. Contact David on extension 104 for more information.

Middle School – Sixth, seventh and eighth graders can participate in the Middle School Youth program. The eighth graders, in addition, will have Confirmation preparation. Annual Mission Trip – Each year we take youth on a mission trip to an orphanage. In times past, we’ve gone to the Granja Hogar orphanage in the city of Chihuahua. However, due to the violence in northern Mexico, we’ll be finding another location this year. This is an outstanding trip for our kids as well as the orphanage kids. It has been a life changing trip for many of the kids. It’s a once-in-a- lifetime opportunity and not to be missed. Contact David on extension 104 for more information.
World Youth Day Trip – Every three years, the worldwide Catholic Church puts on an amazing pilgrimage trip culminating in a huge papal Mass. Knights of Columbus - The Knights of Columbus is a men’s group offering social and intellectual fellowship among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, and public relief works. Contact Sandy on extension 101 for more information.
You are That Man – this is a special program that helps men become better fathers and husbands under the guidance of Jesus Christ and His Church. Meetings are on Wednesday mornings where a video is watched followed by discussion. Contact David on extension 104 for more information.
Women of the Rock – This is an organization of parish women who come together to organize and then conduct programs and activities for the women of St. Peter’s. They have a leadership group which all are invited to join. Contact David on extension 104 for more information.
Women’s Bible Studies – The Women of the Rock have established several small Bible study groups. Typically, they pick a Bible theme and then study it for a couple of months. Contact David on extension 104 for more information.
Movie Nights – Starting in the fall of 2009, there will be a movie night for all parish women. Food will be included (of course!). See the bulletin for times.

St. Peter’s is in the process of creating a St. Vincent de Paul society for Greeley. The society will serve the poor in the community as well as work to enhance the spirituality of its members. Contact Elizabeth on extension 102 for more information.
Food Pantry – Each week, St. Peter’s offer free food baskets to hundreds of families. You may volunteer to help distribute food or donate food or money. Contact Sandy on extension 101 for more information.
Annual Thanksgiving Food Baskets – Each year we ask the parish to donate food and then we assemble and distribute food baskets to the needy in the community. Contact Sandy on extension 101 for more information.
Annual Christmas Gifts to Foster Children (Jesse Tree) – Each Christmas we gather the names of foster children in Greeley and then place an ornament on the Jesse tree. Parishioners take the ornament and purchase a Christmas gift. Contact Doreen on extension 106 for more information.
Room at the Inn for Homeless Families – St. Peter’s was the founder of this organization which serves homeless families. On a rotating basis, St. Peter’s takes in homeless families into a facility where they eat dinner, spend the night and then have breakfast. During the day, the families go to the day center in east Greeley. St. Peter’s volunteers prepare the overnight facility, cook meals and spend overnights hosting the families. Mostly, St. Peter’s volunteers provide love to these families so down on their luck. Contact David on extension 104 for more information.
Young at Heart – This is a group of Seniors who organize various activities. One regularly scheduled activity is a pot luck lunch on the second Wednesday of every month after the 12:10 Mass. Contact David on extension 104 for more information.
Visiting the Homebound – Many of our faithful parishioners are unable to get out and go to Mass. The BeFriender’s Ministry brings communion to them and spends time visiting. In some cases, the Befriender minister will be the only person they see all week; the only love they receive. Wisdom of the Grandparents – this program gathers lide’s lessons learned from our Seniors and will soon publish them. Contact David on extension 104 for more information.
Quilters – These ladies meet each Friday afternoon for quilting, fellowship (and eating!). Contact Sandy on extension 101 for more information.
Helping Hands – Many of our seniors need help around the house, in the yard and in getting rides. If you need help or would like to help, contact David on extension 104.
Catholic Campus Ministry – St. Peter’s is the home parish for students at the University of Northern Colorado and Aims Community College. Newcomers Welcoming Committee – This group contacts all new parishioners welcoming them and helping them become a member of the St. Peter’s family.
